As of Wednesday the 10th of June we will resume our usual opening hours. We look forward to welcoming visitors to our newly finished retail area. Payment can be made by card with the new contactless limit of £45. 

If you are visiting for a particular plant we recommend ringing or emailing to check for availability as we have sold out of some varieties.

WELCOME TO OUR NURSERY

Who we are

A family run nursery set on a hill overlooking the beautiful South Somerset countryside. From humble beginnings at our original site in North Dorset we have developed our new nursery to provide us with a dream space to grow the plants we love.

Our passion lies in growing a wide range of herbaceous perennials and ornamental grasses to suit all the different growing conditions found in gardens. Having honed our palette of plants over the years we are proud to offer our customers the best species and cultivars available.

Our nursery at Cabbage Lane is open four days per week from the 1st of March to the 31st of October.

OUR VISION

Less is more

We grow wild species or cultivars that are closely related to their wild cousins. Plants that will be reliable, long lived and low maintenance. 

Planting wilder perennials is one of the best ways of attracting pollinators into your garden. Providing a rich source of pollen and nectar from Spring to Autumn.

We take an environmentally friendly approach to running our nursery. Using peat free compost, biological pest controls where necessary, recyclable pots and harvesting rain water for irrigation.
